Why choose ANGEL PHOTOGRAPHY?

We are a boutique studio and only take on a small number of clients so that we can provide you with personal and exclusive service from the first time we meet to when your wedding album is complete. Our clients are treated like friends not numbers, you deserve to feel well looked after and get the results you wanted.  Angel Photography has shot over 400 weddings and over 4,000 portraits and is an award winning Member of the AIPP.

WHO WILL BE SHOOTING MY WEDDING OR PORTRAIT?

Angela is the owner and principle photographer and shoots all Angel photography weddings. Your wedding will have two photographers to ensure we capture natural and spontaneous images.  All Angela’s accompanying photographers are qualified or AIPP photographers; they complement and add to the Angel photography look.

Angela will also shoot your portrait and may have an assistant to help with smiles and details.

WHAT STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY DO WE DO?

We aspire to show you images that truly reflect the soul. We work with you and your ideas on style and then on the day become inconspicuous so that you receive candid and natural shots. We love what we do and that comes across in our work. Being a professional photographer is a privilege and we acknowledge our roll is to interpret a real, emotional and artistic view of your day for you to remember forever.

AREN’T ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS PROFESSIONAL?

Simple answer is no! There are people who just do it for extra cash and don’t have you in their best interests. Angela is a multi award winning photographer and belongs to the AIPP (Australian institute of professional photographers). Angela has over 16 years experience and will make you feel comfortable throughout the whole process, and that is just as important as the final products! All photographers have different price ranges and all we can say is you get what you pay for. Quality, service and results are what we are about and we won’t compromise. Photography is an investment in the most memorable stages you will go through in life, do you really want to leave these memories to just anyone?

THE FEMALE TOUCH!

Angela has been married herself for 9 years and knows what the pressure is like of being the bride and going through the whole process. As a female, Angela has that empathy that makes her brides feel so relaxed and brings the best out of the groom. She understands that family dynamics can also be a sensitive issue, so she ensures she makes the parents feel comfortable, included and at ease. Angela is also proud Mother of two gorgeous boys, so she understands the emotions that accompany the privilege of becoming a new mum.

WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO GET MARRIED?

Well that is a tricky one; all brides have their dreams of what the look and feel of there day is, but reality is no one thinks of how long the photographic process really takes. Here is an example of a  good time schedule for a relaxed wedding day. Keep in mind this sample is a night time reception in summer and locations between the reception and ceremony are close to each other. Times would need to change if you want a winter wedding or locations are far from each other.

Brides preparation- 1.5hrs  start time   12pm

Shoots of groom groomsman and family at church   30minutes   start 2pm

Ceremony (can range from 15min for outdoor ceremony to a 1.5hr church wedding)  average wedding 45 minutes start time 2.30pm 0r 3pm

Candid, family and group shots outside church or after ceremony  30-45minutes     leave ceremony around  4ish

Location photos (not include driving time to and from) 1.5hrs   4.30-6pm its not all about the photos either good time to stop and reflect and have something to eat and drink.

Reception start time for guests   6pm

Reception start time for Bridal party  6.30pm Bridal waltz is about 9pm Photographer can finish at 9.30pm which will get all main points of the reception Some couples opt till the very end.

WHAT IS A GOOD TIME TO HAVE OUR PORTRAIT’S TAKEN?

Depending on where you want your shoot, afternoon light is the best time to take a summer beach portrait, about an hour before the sun goes down. Winter-time mornings can be lovely around the bush or a lake or in your home. Newborns are based on thre best time for you and bub, typically morning just after a feed.

WHY DOESN’T ANGEL PHOTOGRAPHY DO A ‘SHOOT AND BURN’ PACKAGE?

We pride ourselves on our work and our finished products.  Our clients want a classic fully finished album, something they can reflect on and be proud to show there family and friends for years to come. The process of making an album takes many dedicated days, of which a newlywed has few. Leave the administration to the professionals. This is why people come to us for their wedding and portrait photography, because they want personal service, and quality results – this is what you pay for.

E-session  FAQs

Whats an E-session?

Essentially, it is an ‘engagement shoot’. Yes we know you are already engaged, it’s just the stage between when you first decide to work with us and when your wedding day comes around. We take some beautiful images of the two of you at your most relaxed at a beach, or park, or city scape, it’s a time that you can spend with your photographer to build a repore and some time-out that you can spend with your partner throughout the stressful process. It is also a time when we can get to know you as a couple, know your likes and dislikes so you will be comfortable in front of the camera on the big day.

“Our e-session taught us how not to stare down the barrel of the camera and just enjoy the moment so we looked our most relaxed, happy and the best we could be” – Cameron and Meredith

The E-session photos can also be used as a guest book at your wedding or Thank You cards.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Depends on how many locations you wish to go too, but normally about an hour. Couples opt to go somewhere different then there wedding location. So if you have a city wedding and know we wont get their on the day you could opt for beach or bush locations.

WHAT TO WEAR?

Plain clothes are ideal, jeans with white or black t-shirts, no logos or motives as this can be to distracting. Some couples come up with their own shot concepts and have been known to jump into the water at the conclusions of the shoot; this has produced some great shots! Some couples even opt to have their pet in the shoot, anything goes.
